The 7th Annual Sequim Prairie Nights Car Show is coming this year on August 10, 2024. Our 2023 show was a great success with a total of 144 registered vehicles attending, and hopefully this year will be even better! Get your vehicle registered EARLY to secure your spot, and on the day of the show, please bring unopened jars of peanut butter for the Price Ford Peanut Butter Drive.

As we get closer to the show and shine, check for updates at www.facebook.com/SequimPrairieNights

We’ve increased the vehicle years eligible for entry again to allow additional participation and encourage future generations to get involved with cars as an exciting hobby. SPN is now open to all street rods, hot rods, classics, muscle cars, trucks and vintage motorcycles! So, what does that all mean? Well... do you own a classic or future classic vehicle? Is it your pride and joy? Bring it out and show it off, and while you’re doing that… meet like-minded folks that feel the same way about their favorite ride too!

Come out and enjoy the show as a participant or spectator! Bring a car and/or a couple of friends and walk the show. You’ll quickly see why we all love our automobiles, and car people love to answer questions about their vehicles. While you are in town, be sure to take time to visit our local merchants and let them know you appreciate them. They support our closing the main street to vehicle traffic, and they support Sequim Prairie Nights in our efforts to raise scholarship funds for local high school graduates. Be sure to visit their businesses and say, “Thank You”.

Don’t forget - within walking distance is the Sequim Open Air Market, just one block from the car show on Cedar Street. Take a moment to visit and acquire some locally grown and crafted treasures from our area. Just steps away (across the main intersection of Sequim Avenue and Washington Street), are more local restaurants and businesses well worth a visit - you won’t be disappointed!

Featured this year are Sequim resident and Bonneville Speed Week participant, Tri-Mac Speedsters (George and Alan McMurray), back from their most recent record-breaking effort. Come out and see the incredible motorcycle and its fearless rider that made that attempt at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Their latest results will be available at the show. George and Alan will be parked in front of the main entrance to A-1 Auto, one of the sponsors supporting their efforts at Bonneville Speed Week each year.

There will be several drawings throughout the day for items donated for the event, with proceeds from the drawings solely benefiting the Sequim and Port Angeles High School scholarship fund. We will announce on the SPN Facebook page the recipients of this year’s scholarships from the proceeds of the 2024 event as soon as they are finalized!

All vehicle entrants receive a VERY nice SPN Commemorative Hat, as in years past, with the current events date embroidered on the front. Also, a current Dash Plaque is provided to all entrants. Prior year Commemorative Hats and Dash Plaques are also available for purchase at the show. There are limited year quantities, so be sure to grab any you’re missing, should you want to maintain a complete event set.

This is an ALL-AGES show. Be sure to bring your kids and grandkids to walk around with you - let’s get the next generation excited about cars! Also, don’t be surprised if you find SPN helpers offering our young car enthusiasts a brown paper bag containing a fun keepsake from the show! Our volunteers in yellow Sequim Prairie Nights vests, and Sequim local Police officers will be doing the honors. You may even see Mike Hill, Sequim’s new Chief of Police, handing out those brown paper bags as well. Take a moment and congratulate him on his new position!

At the close of the show, there is a short vehicle tour of the surrounding area, which ends at a local barn for a short tour and refreshments. Check your SPN goodie bags for information on this part of the event.

We look forward to seeing you all on August 10th!
